Shift is a low tech and low cost walker designed to provide gait assistance and enhance sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit transitions, offering an alternative to early wheelchair use. The improvement on the transfer maneuver is due to the products structural features: an extra handlebar and the posterior feet design, which provide a secure lift movement. Its style was designed to shift from social stigma related concepts to an independent and social living.
