New-arm

New-arm is a rehabilitation assistive device which infuses gamification to an arm skate to motivate post-stroke survivors to regain their upper limb mobility. The novelty lies with pairing it with a non-immersive virtual reality game that complements the arm-skate device to provide a rewarded, goal-directed task to motivate post-stroke survivors where users could undertake point-to-point reaching tasks, performed on a table; encouraging users to engage socially on fun and meaningful rehabilitation therapy.

Fingertip Touch

Fingertip Touch is a new product in which the design of this ceramic cup is a sample of caring design. It can bring convenience to the blind, its handle has a groove connecting the inner part of the cup body, this groove is used to let the blind feel the temperature with their fingers. When hot water is poured into the cup, it will flow into the groove which the blind finger can feel the temperature. Blind people sense the temperature and stop pouring water to avoid being scalded by overflowing hot water. A simple structure design which can bring safe life experience to the blind.

Petal

Blind people are a large group of vulnerable in society, and they deserve more social caring. The new design sure will bring a new dining experience to the blind. Because of the visual impairment, the blind cannot enjoy the experience of tasting each dish at the table alone. They all mix the dishes in a container, which is unfair for them. The designer took this into consideration and rotated the separated petal-shaped plate to bring each dish to the blind by rotation for their convenience.

The Bariatric Project challenges conventional aesthetic of medical devices by a sporty design, hiding technical details, reducing the impact of outsized proportions, reshaping the silhouette of the user by the wheelchair. Invacare believes in motivating overweight people to stay physically active and promoting a better quality of life. Providing a self confidence and self esteem for overweight people, reducing stigmatization and giving a sense of autonomy with key features of an active product.

This design adopts the principle of linkage mechanism, which makes the hanger easier to extend into the clothes to achieve the effect of opening and closing, and greatly reduces the resistance of the clothes to the hanger, and can satisfy the condition that the clothes can be dried by one hand. This hanger designed for one-armed people can bring convenience to their lives and regain their hopes for life.

Blue

Marcos Prudencio, creator of the Blue Chair asserts that currently there is a growth in the practice of Stand Up Paddle boarding, but for people with little or no mobility, it is still limited. Therefore, Blue has been designed to meet the needs of everyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of this sport with safety and freedom. Lightweight and foldable, with stainless steel tubular structures and hinges at strategic points, it allows for easy transport, maintenance and storage. When coupled with special rubber wheels, it becomes versatile and amphibious, easily moving on any type of surface.
